Basic Boarding Package:
24/7 ad lib hay. We typically feed primarily from loose hay nets or a netted bale. Feeding areas are dispersed in ways that encourage movement and the netted hay discourages ‘camping’ at a feeding area. Feeding sources are refreshed daily.
Loose salt, magnesium, and flax supplements are given with low starch grass pellets as daily supplements for all horses. Additional supplements may be arranged for an additional fee.
Mineral and salt blocks are dispersed around the track and available for continuous ad lib use.
At least 2 daily checks on your horse (minimum) a.m. and p.m. ( We live on the premises and typically observe the horses frequently and intermittently throughout most days).
Daily manure cleaning of the entire track and barnyard. The entire track is cleaned daily to help in lowering the worm count and to limit the time hooves spend standing in manure.
Monthly bring-in and hold for vet and/or farrier included. Your horse will be held while all bodywork is being done and hooves trimmed.
Quarterly fecal worm egg count.
Unlimited blanket changes/fly masks on/off. (Owner provides blankets/masks)
Basic medical treatments: first aid for cuts and scratches, application of creams/topical treatments, use of fly sprays, etc., as necessary.
Retirement Package:
Includes everything from the Basic Package and adds:

Twice weekly hoof pick out and application of spray/paste if required.
Weekly grooming if required (especially in shedding season).
Individualized/supervised feeding as needed. (If a particular horse has severe disabilities that require extensive accommodations, an additional fee may be required).
Rehabilitation Package:
Includes everything from the Basic Package and adds:
Daily hoof pick out and application of spray/paste if required.
Daily donning of hoof boots as needed (hoof boots supplied to GFTS by horse’s owner). We can help you measure your horse’s hooves and decide on a boot that works best for them.
Weekly grooming if required (especially in shedding season).
Weekly hoof photo updates forwarded to owner.
